DTI Grant for Research and Development North East Awards 2007

The winners and the other short listed companies. One NorthEast hosted an Awards Dinner on 15 March 2007, celebrating regional companies involvement in the DTI Grant for Research and Development.

Margaret Faye, Chair of One NorthEast, and Alan Clarke, One NorthEast's Chief Executive hosted the Evening. Awards were made in four categories: Innovation, Environment, Innovation Champion and Commercial Achievement.

The principle Award is the Commercial Achievement Award. This is open to previous Smart, Spur or Grant for Research and Development winners from 1995 to 2005. The eligibility timescale recognises that the true impact of the R&D on many business will, in many cases, only become apparent in the longer term, potentially a number of years after the initial award.
