What type of funding does it offer?
The fund will invest monies as ordinary or redeemable preference shares alongside other investors (mainly private sector) on the same terms. Investment from the Co Investment Fund must not exceed 45% of the total investment package.
Size of Deals
The size of investments will range between £100,000 and £1 million. This must be part of a larger funding package.
In which area is the fund available?
Almost the whole of the North East of England (but there are some very small areas not eligible – for example Ponteland). To find out whether it is available in your area you can contact the fund manager (details below).
Who can apply?
Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) undertaking technology investments – start-ups or expansions.
