Objective 3 funding

Objective 3 is a European Union (EU) initiative providing funding to help adapt and modernise policies and systems of education, training and employment. In the region of £200m is available to the North East of England between 2000-2006 through the England Objective 3 Operational Programme. The Objective 3 regional Development Plan (RPD) provides the framework for the use of these resources

All Objective 3 projects are funded by the European Social Fund, through five different categories (policy fields), including Lifelong Learning and Active Labour Market Policies.
