Regeneration Committee

The Regeneration Committee is a Standing Committee of the Agency’s Board, which carries out the detailed examination of the following specific areas of the Agency’s activities on behalf of the Board:

To oversee the key thematic issues on regeneration being developed by the Agency
To oversee and comment upon the relationship between the urban regeneration companies and the North East Property Partnership (Buildings for Business)
To consider, review and comment upon regeneration projects being conducted by the Agency, particularly those requiring Board approval
Advise upon programme management and resource allocation in relation to Regeneration
To review, advise and comment upon the Regional Tourism Strategy and support regeneration projects
To advise upon Best Practice and dissemination of progress made on championing physical quality in the North East
Maintaining an overview of the activities of the North East Centre of Excellence in Regeneration
Exercising the Agency’s function as Statutory Consultee in accordance with the procedures recently recommended by the Board
