Government has launched, as from 25th January 2010, an on-line procurement course “Winning the Contract”. This is a FREE resource to help businesses (and in particular SMEs) learn about public procurement and how to bid for public sector contracts. The course can be accessed via the Business Link webpage at: www.businesslink.gov.uk/procurement.
“Winning the Contract” is part of a wide ranging programme of initiatives that Government aimed at making the procurement market more transparent, simple and strategic thus enabling more small firms to access, bid for, and win, public sector contracts.
Durham University - Consultancy Services for Developing a Static Model for CO2 Storage in a Depleted Central North Sea Oil Field/s
To host the 7.5 million tonnes of CO2 produced annually by the region, there needs to be a subsurface geological site that can guarantee to the CO2 producers uninterrupted storage. This can be achieved by providing two alternative storage options, so that if one were to be offline, injection could continue into the secondary storage sites. This is best achieved through developing both aquifer and depleted oil field storage options. This project will carry out the detailed geological and geophysical work required to allow the aquifer and depleted oil field sites to go ahead.
